It would be nice to have a touch mechanic for moving the character instead of using the on-screen joystick controller. A tap-to-move or swipe-based control scheme would feel much more natural on a touchscreen.

That is a good idea and we are also thinking about implementing it soon. We will keep you updated on the progress!
