Your playbook stays on your device. The app does not require an account, send your saved activity to the developer, or include advertising or analytics tracking.
This policy explains local storage, optional support correspondence, and services operated independently by Apple or other providers.
1. Who we are
Warcraft 3 Playbook (also referred to as Warcraft III Playbook or “the app”) is an unofficial reference and strategy companion developed and provided by Aleksandar Andreev (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy covers the app and information you voluntarily send us about it.
2. Information handled by the app
The app does not collect or transmit personal information to us during normal use. It has no registration or login, advertising SDK, analytics service, or developer-operated cloud synchronization.
The app saves the following information in its local storage on your device:
- Favorites: the reference items and build orders you save.
- Recent activity: recently viewed reference items and recently practiced build orders.
- Practice progress: your current build order, step, and whether a practice session is active.
- Audio preferences: whether coach audio is enabled and whether it plays automatically when advancing a step.
This information supports favorites, recent lists, resuming practice, and remembering your preferences. It is not uploaded to us, used to identify you, or used for advertising. The app's reference content and coaching audio are bundled with the app.
3. Permissions and tracking
The app does not request access to your microphone, camera, photos, contacts, or location. Coach audio plays prerecorded guidance; it does not record you. The app does not use advertising identifiers, track you across apps or websites, sell personal information, or share personal information for targeted advertising.
4. Information you send for support
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, or diagnostic details. We use it only to respond to your request, investigate issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending sensitive information or information about other people.
Email providers process correspondence to deliver and store messages. We do not use support correspondence for advertising or sell it. Any provider we engage to handle personal information on our behalf must protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
5. Apple, backups, and external websites
Apple operates the App Store and may process purchase, download, or diagnostic information under its own privacy policy and your device settings. Device or iCloud backups may include the app's local storage. We do not operate those services or receive your local favorites, history, or practice progress through them. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you follow a link to an external website, that website's privacy policy applies. When you visit a hosted copy of this policy or the terms page, the hosting provider may process standard request information, such as your IP address, browser details, and access time, to deliver and secure the page. These HTML pages contain no scripts, analytics, cookies, external fonts, or embedded third-party resources. Hosting services may have their own logging practices.
6. Retention and deletion
Local favorites, history, progress, and preferences remain in the app's storage until changed, overwritten, or removed. You can remove individual favorites in the app. To remove all local app data on iOS, choose Delete App rather than Offload App. Backup copies may remain under your backup provider's retention rules; manage those separately in your device or backup settings. Restoring a backup may restore saved app data.
We cannot access or remotely delete data stored only on your device. Support correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, maintain relevant support records, or meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of correspondence using the contact details below, subject to any legal retention requirements.
7. Your choices and rights
You can change favorites and audio preferences in the app and stop local storage by deleting the app. There is no account to delete and no analytics or advertising consent to withdraw.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information you send us, restrict its processing, object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority. We do not need your identity or account information to provide the app's local features.
8. Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support correspondence, contact us so we can address it and delete the information where appropriate.
9. Security
Local app data is stored within the app's storage and relies on your device's security protections. Protect your device and backups with appropriate access controls. We take reasonable measures to protect support correspondence; no storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app features or information practices change. The revised policy will show a new update date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent before introducing new processing that requires it.
